The French Ethypharm Group and Aurora Europe(based in Berlin) will supply marijuana flowers to a pilot medical cannabis program in France. According to a report from the Medical Cannabis Network, the firms were approved to provide THC-rich dried marijuana flower lots and CBD-high commodities to all French individuals taking part in the pilot research.
Last year, Ethypharm and Aurora struck a deal to serve the program. Under the partnership terms exclusive in the French jurisdiction, Aurora will provide medicinal marijuana from Aurora Nordic and offer logistics and production support. Ethypharm was tasked to manage pharmacovigilance and distribution activities within France.
The French administration has set up an official medicinal pilot measure that puts the crop in three unique product classes (capsules, extracts, and flowers) addressing palliative conditions, epilepsy, cancer, spasticity, and neuropathic pain. The research takes two years. Aurora’s commodities might be used to treat patients suffering from all the above conditions except epilepsy.
France’s pilot measure is different from other state programs. It offers free product access to individuals participating in the research and creates a compulsory education initiative for pharmacists and doctors under a statewide harmonized course.
Ethypharm focuses on pharmaceuticals that treat disorders in the nervous system. The firm has subsidiaries in the UK, France, and Germany. It also has longstanding footprints in China.
Aurora is a component of the Canada-based Aurora Cannabis Inc. Its Nordic unit is slated to become the firm’s chief source of supply for Europe’s market. Aurora’s Odense facilities entail over 9,200 meters square of space for greenhouse production and expect an optimum output of about 10,000 kilograms annually. The company asserted that the Nordic operation provides dried marijuana extracts and flowers and will launch other formulations during the next term.
Also, Aurora is selling a large industrial rage cannabis cultivation facility in Alberta, Canada.
