
As the different states release their own stay at home orders, we will continue to update this list. These are the states that currently allow either medical or recreational cannabis businesses to remail in operation. They are in states where the business has been deemed essential.
California: Every state-licensed marijuana company is allowed to stay open.
Colorado: Medical and recreational retailers remain open. Recreational cannabis shops are limited to curbside pickup only.
Connecticut: Medical marijuana dispensaries remain open.
Delaware: Medical marijuana dispensaries remain open.
Hawaii: Only medical marijuana dispensaries are deemed essential.
Illinois: All cannabis growers and retailers that are state-licensed are deemed essential by the state.
Louisiana: Medical marijuana and its corresponding supply chain is exempt from shut down orders.
Massachusetts: Licensed medical marijuana retailers are essential, but not recreational ones.
Michigan: All licensed medical and recreational shops are able to resume operations but are limited to curbside pickup.
Minnesota: Medical marijuana companies can remain in operation.
Montana: Medical marijuana is essential and all state-licensed businesses can continue operating.
New Hampshire: Medical marijuana is essential and can remain operating.
New Jersey: Medical marijuana is essential and can remain operating.
New Mexico: Medical marijuana companies can remain in operation.
New York: Medical marijuana companies can remain in operation.
Ohio: Medical marijuana companies can remain in operation.
Oklahoma: Medical marijuana companies can remain in operation.
Oregon: The state has not specifically stated that cannabis is essential, but is currently allowing curbside pickup from stores.
Vermont: Medical marijuana companies can remain in operation.
Washington: Medical and recreational marijuana companies can remain in operation.
