A cannabis lab in Tampa, Florida that has a chain of marijuana and hemp labs that are federally licensed and ISO accredited, recently acquired another certified cannabis laboratory. With this acquisition, ACS Laboratory will expand its reach to 44 states.
The Gainsville headquartered Botanica Testing Inc. will bring along with it 500 new hemp clients. This makes ACS the larges lab in the eastern U.S. ACS didn’t release the price of the purchase.
“Botanica chose ACS as a suitor because they felt the quality of work we perform exceeded any other competitors and they wanted a good home for their existing clients,” President of ACS Laboratory President, Roger Brown, said in a company statement. “We are proud to welcome these new clients into the family with our award-winning testing services.”
ACS Laboratory will be able to use the purchase to increase its reach and provide hemp testing services for growers from pre-planting through post-production. The company plans to acquire even more businesses in the coming year.
“We are currently in discussions with leading hemp and cannabis laboratories throughout the country. The Botanica agreement is the first step in a large journey to acquire reputable companies across the United States and have the largest footprint of any cannabis and hemp testing laboratory,” said Brown.
