Avicanna Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on organic and sustainable CBD products, has partnered with Red White & Bloom Brands Inc. The two companies have entered a distribution deal to give Avicanna exclusive rights to distribute its cosmetic and topical line of Pura H&W™ products by RWB.
The two companies are working to get a strong foothold in the $532 billion beauty industry. The Pura H&W brand of products is clinically backed, and focuses on CBD, allowing it to be allowed in most retail locations.
“Throughout my career, I have seen tremendous success licensing brands, strategically leveraging them for the demographics that recognize the best in class quality & efficacy, and then listing them in big box and specialty retailers,” said Brad Rogers, CEO of RWB. “This agreement paves a path that will allow RWB and Avicanna to grow together well into the future beyond our news today.”
The agreement will carry out an initial five-year term, where RWB will exclusively distribute Pura H&W. The products being sold were developed by researchers from leading medical and academic institutions. The topicals aim to synergistically combine CBD and other natural ingredients to help people with underlying conditions. The topicals have already undergone three cosmetic clinical trials on humans.
“After years of R&D and clinical development of what we believe is the most advanced line of CBD skincare products, we are thrilled to have partnered up with the team at RWB, who provide an ideal partner for Avicanna and the Pura H&W line of products. We believe their access and expertise in the US market through commercial and retail channels will allow the Pura H&W branded products to reach their potential as the leading skincare brand,” Aras Azadian, CEO of Avicanna, said in a press release.
